Although Leader Accessories is known for high quality compound bows for beginners and novices alike, this specific model is better suited to more experienced archers or those with above average back and upper-body strength. It has a draw weight of 50 to 70 pounds and is easily adjustable using an allen wrench that’s included with each purchase. No bow press is needed to make any adjustments.

This compound bow has a draw length of 25″ to 31″, making it most appropriate for individuals with arms spans between 62.5″ to 77.5″ or heights of 5’2″ to 6’5″. It offers a generous let-off of 75% to 80% and an impressive max speed of 310 FPS, making it suitable for bow hunting. Axle to axle, it measures 31.5″ and has a brace height of 7.5″. It is a right-handed bow that weighs 4.4 pounds and boasts a solid construction with a riser that’s made of aluminum. However, the arrow rest is made of plastic. Also, the bow comes with a simple two-pin sight and doesn’t include a peep sight. Nevertheless, these can be easily replaced when you’re ready for an upgrade.

This Leader Accessories Compound Bow is best used with a 30-inch carbon or aluminum arrow. However, the best arrows for you should really be determined based on your specific measurements and requirements.

Pros

  • Great value for money
  • Solid construction
  • Suitable for bowhunting

  • More serious archers will require upgrades

Leader Accessories Compound Bow (30-55 lbs.) Review

Leader-Accessories-Compound-Bow-30-55lbs

Long known for providing a wide variety of high quality, affordable items to automotive and outdoor enthusiasts, Leader Accessories does not disappoint with their line of compound bows. This specific right-handed model has a draw length of 19″ to 29″. While that makes it suitable for anyone with a height of 4 to 6 feet (arm span from 47.5″ to 72.5″), it’s not ideal for kids and teens because the draw weight is pretty heavy at 30 to 55 pounds. Draw weight and length can be adjusted using the included allen wrenches so no bow press is necessary.

The Leader Accessories Compound Bow is made of an aluminum riser and weighs 3.3 pounds. Axle to axle, it measures 28 inches and has a brace height of 7 inches. Let off is at 70% and it offers a max speed of 296 FPS, making it suitable for hunting any game from the small rabbit to the tough cape buffalo.

A fiber optic sight and a drop-away arrow rest are included with the bow. They are good enough for the price it comes in but as you get more serious with archery, you might want to replace them with sturdier alternatives. The peep sight and D-string come pre-installed. The bow also comes packaged with 2 pieces of 30-inch aluminum arrow and some bow wax to prolong the life of your string and cables.

Pros

  • Affordable
  • Easy to adjust
  • Suitable for hunting any-sized game
  • Includes arrows

Cons

  • Serious archers will want to upgrade the fiber optic sight and drop-away arrow rest

No bow press is needed because it quickly adjusts using the included Allen tool set.

Axle to axle, the Predator Archery Raptor Compound Bow is 30 inches long and weighs 3.6 pounds.
