Although it comes at a slightly higher price, the Eolus is a definite upgrade from the Snowmass. It features the same luxurious ripstop, water-repellent nylon fabric liner but uses 800 FP goose down filling. That keeps you warm even at temperatures of 15 to 30°F (-9.44°C to -1.11°C), and could keep you safe at extreme 0°F (-17.78°C) outdoor conditions. Also, unlike the Snowmass, the Eolus features vertical baffles, which offer even temperature distribution.

It features two large zippers, which allows you to open up a portion of the bag for ventilation while keeping warm where it matters most. It also allows for greater freedom of movement around your legs. It features a drawstring around the shoulders and also around the hood to further seal in warmth whenever you need it.

The Eolus 0°F comes in four color combinations (black/clementine, blue/lime gree, clay/purple, and mint/tangerine). It also comes in three different sizes (short, regular, and long). The most popular size is regular, which is 78 inches long, 28 inches wide at the shoulders, and tapers down to 11 inches at the toe box. When packed, it measures 7 x 10 inches and weighs 3.2 pounds. The McKinley -30° Sleeping Bag by Browning Camping uses TechLoft Silver filling, which is an innovative synthetic fiber that boasts impressive insulating properties. It has a fill weight of 160 ounces and provides enhanced comfort through its insulated chest and zipper baffle. Click Image For Latest Pricing

The Ironwood 20 by Marmot is a lightweight, mummy-style sleeping bag filled with 650 FP down, which gives it an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio. As with Marmot’s other down products, the Ironwood’s performance is enhanced with Down Defender — an innovative treatment that increases down’s water resistance, keeps it from clumping, and helps it dry faster. So, it’s safe to use not only in temperatures as lows as 20°F (-6.67°C) but also in damp environments.
