Best Broadheads for the Money 2022

Bow hunting is an extremely in-depth activity that takes years of experience to master. You cannot simply go out to the woods with a compound bow or recurve bow and simply drop an animal. It can take a great deal of time to dial in the exact range at which you’re most accurate with your bow and arrow, whether that be a recurve or compound bow.

Often times you’ll be most accurate within the 15 to 25 yard range. This means you’ll have to get extremely close to the animal in order to take an effective and deadly shot. With this being said you’ll need a lot of practice when it comes to fine-tuning your accuracy. One thing you taken a consideration is the fact that you will be practicing with practice arrows. These are not broadhead arrows so you will need to take that into consideration because your flight and aim vary slightly once broadhead arrow tips are placed on the arrow shafts.

This is one thing you need to be very aware of before bow hunting and it is just as important that you find the best broadhead arrows for the job as well. Luckily for you we’ve done the research and we found the best broadhead arrows currently on the market. So here’s our list of the best hunting broadhead arrows for the money in 2022.

Hunting Broadheads, Sinbadteck 12PK 3 Blades Archery Broadheads Review

These hunting broadheads from Sinbadteck come with 3 extremely sharp fixed blades and are 100 grain. They are screw-in and compatible with both a crossbow and a compound bow. The dimensions are 2.8 inches (7.11 cm) long and 1.035 inches (2.63 cm) wide.

The heavy duty 3 blade design increases the strength and accuracy of each shot and these broadheads can easily take down a deer. They are sharp, fast, and perfect for hunting. They also have grabbing hooks to prevent you from losing the arrow after is has been released. The shaft and nuts are both manufactured using anodized aluminum and the tip is a super hard stainless steel. One of the best things about these arrows is the affordable price.

They are inexpensive  considering their strength, but they do lack durability. While these broadheads provide great precision and piercing power, they are often damaged upon impact. The screw in tips make for easy ‘fool proof’ installation. It is important to note that there is no hunting shaft included with these broadheads.

Pros

  • High strength and precision
  • Screw in tips
  • Inexpensive

Cons

  • Doesn’t include hunting shaft
  • Not very durable

Muzzy Bowhunting Broadheads 3 Blades Trocar Tip Review

These broadheads from Muzzy are made with hardened steel Trocar tips to provide maximum penetration and enhanced flight stability. They are 75 grain and also come in 100 and 125 grain. They have 3 blades and are compatible with all standard inserts. They have a 1 inch cutting diameter and have an anodized aluminum ferrule.

The vented stainless steel of the blades cut on impact thanks to the hollow-ground design. The blades are delivered to you razor sharp and are easily assembled. The blades are also easily replaceable in both singles or multiples should it be necessary. Due to the inexpensive price, you can replace the blades as often as you want without breaking the bank. These broadheads are perfect for compound, recurve or longbows.

Once assembled, these broadheads have no moving parts so there is no danger of a part flying off after being released. A downside to these broadheads is that it can be difficult to seat the blades at times, and the practice arrow that comes with the set is unfortunately not great quality. Overall, they provide great quality, penetration, and accuracy.

Pros

  • Hardened steel Trocar tips
  • Blades delivered razor sharp
  • Easy to replace blades
  • High penetration

Cons

  • Can be tough to seat blades
  • Practise arrow isn’t great

Swhacker Set of 3-100 Grain 2 Inch Cut Broadheads Review

Swhacker-Set-of-3-100-Grain-2-Inch-Cut-Broadheads

The Swacker set of 100 grain broadheads flies like a field point and opens up to a 2 inch cut. It has a set of wing blades that are designed to cut hide. These are the blades that are also used to open the broadhead. Smaller than the main blades, they take the majority of the punishment upon impact.

They also provide a load bearing surface for the ferrule. This then leaves the main blades razor sharp and ready for action. These two separate cutting edges can cause a great deal of internal damage. The ferrule is made of anodized aluminum and each arrow has a hardened high carbon steel point with a threaded on hollow ground.

The flight on this arrow is very precise and with great penetration upon impact. At times the entry wound can be a little too small, so if you need to follow the deer the blood trail can be hard to follow. These broadheads do not come razor sharp out of the package. While they do work as advertised, the price is a bit higher than comparable broadheads.

Pros

  • Two sets of blades
  • Excellent penetration
  • Precise flight

Cons

  • Not sharp out of the packet
  • Entry would can be a little small

G5 Outdoors Montec 100% Stainless Steel Fixed Broadheads Review

G5-Outdoors-Montec-100-Stainless-Steel-Fixed-Broadheads.

The blade angle on the Montec broadhead is specifically designed to allow for repeated maximum penetration with each successful release. Made with one-piece metal injection molding construction, it has no parts that will need replacement. These broadheads are 100% spin-tested for accuracy to ensure true flight and are extremely easy to use.

These broadheads have a cut-in-contact design and diamond cut sharpness. Due to its all in one feature, all you need to do is screw it on and you’re ready to hunt. It’s available in 85, 100, and 125 grains and has a 1 inch cutting diameter. It flies just like a field tips. Due to their long-lasting wear, these broadheads are a very reasonable price for the amount of use that you get out of them.

They are not as accurate as some of the other broadheads, so it may take a little time with the practice arrow to get accustomed. They come razor sharp out of the packet, but will need to be sharpened regularly to keep them in good condition. As the diameter is quite small, the blood trail that these produce can be hard to track down. Simply set up your trail camera, bait the area and you’re in business.

Pros

  • A lifetime of use
  • One-piece construction
  • Inexpensive

Cons

  • Not always accurate
  • Needs resharpening regularly
  • Produces thin blood trail
