The Viper SD by Summit Treestands is a climbing-type treestand that’s meant to keep you safe, comfortable, and concealed as you wait for your next game. It weighs a total of 20 pounds and can carry a load of up to 300 pounds.

When assembled, the seat’s backrest measures 12 x 20 inches while the seat itself is 18 x 12 inches. Both are padded and covered with Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity camo.

To keep you comfortable, it has an aluminum frame that closes the front. That helps secure you in place as well as give you a bar to rest your hands or weapon on.

It measures 22.5 x 37.5 inches, and while this bar might be too low to set your rifle on, it works well as a rest. You also get a foot platform that measures 20 x 36 inches. For maximum comfort, you can adjust your seat height relative to this foot platform.

The Summit Treestands Viper SD attaches via cable. Each purchase includes all the hardware necessary to use this out of the box. Plus, it includes all your essential safety gear as well. The entire set packs up tightly, so it’s easy to take along with you without any unnecessary clanging. This tree stand would make for a great hunting gift that any outdoors adventurer would love.

Pros

  • Lightweight at 20 pounds
  • 300-pound capacity
  • Padded seat and backrest
  • Features Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity camo
  • Closed front
  • Large foot platform
  • Adjustable height

Summit Treestands Goliath SD Review

The Goliath SD is another climbing treestand by Summit Treestands that features the Mossy Oak® Break-Up Infinity camo. This helps ensure that you’re not only secured and comfortable but also perfectly concealed.

The Goliath SD offers all the fantastic features of the popular Viper SD. But, this one is specially made for hunters with a wider frame. Weighing only 21 pounds, this treestand has the capacity to carry a load of up to 350 pounds. Just like the Viper SD, the padded seat measures 18 x 12 inches, and the backrest measures 12 x 20 inches.

Where it makes a difference is in the seat frame, which measures 24.50 x 37.50 inches on the Goliath SD. But just the same, it sits too low to be used to rest your rifle or bow. To guarantee your comfort, the seat height is adjustable in relation to the footrest.

The Goliath SD attaches via a cable system. This one features Summit’s trademark QuickDraw Cable Retention System, which allows you to lock the stand in place and remove it using a single QuickDraw trigger.

The Goliath SD also features Summit’s RapidClimb Climbing Stirrups, which helps keep you safe while climbing to great heights. In all, the Goliath SD gives you everything you need to safely climb and secure your treestand, as well as keep you comfortable as you await your next hunt. Getting off the ground and having a birds eye view of the landscape is a major advantage for hunting, whether that be with a recurve bow, compound bow or rifle.

Pros

  • Features Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity camo
  • Lightweight at 21 pounds
  • 350-pound capacity
  • Padded seat and backrest
  • Expanded seat frame
  • Large foot platform
  • Adjustable height
  • Includes hardware and safety gear
  • Packs tightly

The Titan SD is much like the Viper SD and Goliath SD by Summit Treestands but is made to accommodate hunters on the heavier side. It has a weight capacity of 350 pounds and has a larger seat frame at 24.5 x 39.5 inches. The padded seat is the same at 18 x 12 inches as well as the backrest at 12 x 20 inches. The seat height is adjustable relative to the footrest so you can be comfortable for long periods of time.

The Titan SD features Summit’s trademark Mossy Oak® Break-Up Infinity camo, which blends in very nicely with tree trunks and keeps you adequately concealed. Plus, the Titan SD packs tightly, transports quietly, and weighs only 25 pounds.

Apart from the structurally enhanced aluminum frames that are equipped with Summit Treestand’s Dead Metal sound-deadening technology, the camo coverings, and the camo cushions, each purchase of the Titan SD includes everything you need to climb up a tree and secure your treestand safely.

The Mini Viper SD gives you all the benefits and functionalities of the regular-sized Viper SD, but in a smaller and lighter frame. This is perfect for younger hunters or those with narrower body types.

While the mini version can still carry a load of up to 300 pounds, it weighs only 18 pounds. Plus, the foot platform and seat frame are shorter. To accommodate legs of all lengths, the seat height is adjustable.

Where it doesn’t differ from the regular-sized version is the padded seat. The size is exactly the same with a backrest of 12 x 20 inches and a seat cushion of 18 x 12 inches. Plus, it also features Summit’s renowned Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity camo, which helps conceal you perfectly against a tree.

Every purchase of the Summit Treestands Mini Viper SD comes with all the hardware that you need to set it up. Plus, it includes a full body fall arrest harness system, which will keep you safe in the unlikely event of a fall. Additionally, the entire Mini Viper SD packs very well. You wear it like a backpack, and it won’t make any unnecessary noise.

  • Smaller and lighter frame
  • 300-pound capacity

  • Features Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity camo

Summit-Treestands-180-Max-SD-Climbing-Treestand

The Max SD gives you everything you’d expect from Summit Treestand. But, this model gives you the added benefit of a 180-degree turning seat. That means you can quickly shift from facing out or facing the tree you’re on, giving you access to any vantage point you need to hunt your game.

At 26 pounds, it’s a bit heavier than many of Summit’s other models. But the benefits are definitely worth the few extra pounds. This one has a maximum weight capacity of 350 pounds. Plus, the seat is fully enclosed and has pockets that can store personal items, including heat packs that could keep you comfortable in cold weather.

Where the Summit Treestand Max SD is the same as most of the other models is in the padded seat and backrest, which measure 18 x 12 and 12 x 20, respectively. Both feature Summit’s Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity camo.

With the large foot platform, you have enough space to rest your feet no matter where you’re facing. Plus, every purchase of the Max SD includes everything you need to set it up and safely climb up even the tallest of trees.

Pros

  • 180-degree turning seat
  • 350-pound weight capacity
  • Fully-enclosed seat with pockets
  • Features Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity camo
  • Large foot platform
  • Includes hardware and safety gear

Cons
